about...Make a Difference Sri Lanka

Make A difference (Sri Lanka) Ltd (MDSL) is an organisation that has been registered with the Charity Commission in England and Wales since 31 March 2011. A small number of Sri Lankan born British nationals living in the United Kingdom are the voluntary Trustee Directors of the charity.

The vision of the charity is to ‘Mentor and Dedicate’ time, funds and physical assistance to create a sustainable future for the people who have gone through a thirty years of civil war in the North and East of Sri Lanka. Vanni, Batticaloa and Trincomalee were identified by MDSL as the worst affected area's in the region and initiated Projects accordingly.

The aims and objectives of the charity are to prevent distress, relieve poverty and create opportunities to empower the vulnerable people left behind after the civil war in these war affected areas.

We believe that by the implementation of fully evaluated development project proposals and careful selection of training programmes, the charity will provide an equitable and sustainable future.
